The one just across the channel. Looks like a hideous place to live. Now the French are knocking part of it down, not sure if that will help matters.
I have one simple question about it, that I haven't heard an answer to in the media. All the refuges and asylum seekers who live there - why don't they claim asylum in France ?

Quite simply, because if they do they cannot then come to England until/if they are granted citizenship, and French Social Security is way way lower then England.

Under the Dublin Agreement ALL, repeat ALL, asylum seekers should seek asylum in the FIRST country of the EU they reach ... which is why Greece/Turkey/Macedonia ignore it .. they simply cannot cope.

The French have been ignoring the Dublin agreement for years, and try and blame us for not taking the illegal asylum seekers (illegal because they have not claimed asylum as they should) off their hands.

The whole migrant issue has shown humanity and the EU to be somewhat wanting. As far as I am concerned the EU leadership have failed dramatically even accepting it is a difficult question.
