Check or change the plastic jobbie that is on the bottom of the ign switch, were the plug is . :y

Common Vauxhall problem, and an easy fix:get a new(brand new, this is a part where used is too close to used-up) and fit it. You're lucky, they usually fail the other way in that the key turns but nothing works.
