I hope that Sturgeon gets her.

Then reality will set in and it may become a case of 'be careful what you wish for'.

.....
Sorry, "Andy B", but my adjective (scotch) is perfectly acceptable to an Englishman - check that ultimate arbiter of our language, the OED.

Ron.

I think there might be a few Scotts that would disagree  ;) ;)

Hasn,t the SNPs stance always been allied to staying in the EU even if we voted to leave? ???

Yup. But the EU said they would need to re-apply for membership as the agreement was with the UK. And not with an independent Scotland.

At the moment, if Scotland had chosen independence, it would be broke, and in a huge pile of do-do due to there continued bleating on oil revenue,
They wouldn't make enough money before crude oil crashed, let alone now it's £35 a barrel, the people who know were advised to be quiet.

Take a drive around ABZ, o how the mighty are falling.

The oil wouldn't reach an independent Scotland, with or without the EU...

Ignoring the movement of the England/Scotland North Sea 'border' as regards North Sea oil revenue and just as a piece of nonsensical nonsense, can someone say what percentage and how much revenue does scotch whisky add to the exchequer?

The ratio of Scotland/England would suffice?

Where is it manufactured again?

Hhhhhmmmm.....

Really?!?
I work and live in Aberdeen during the week, and what you suggest should be the case, but I'm not seeing it!  :-\
There are lots around here who's jobs are at great risk, but properties prices are still rising, high value vehicle manufacturers are still building fancy new outlets, so its no better or worse than 2 years ago.

As for the SNP, I wish my felLow countrymen would wake up and see them for what they are......a bunch of lying self indulgent f*&kers!
The last vote was supposed to be a once in a lifetime deal, and yet here we are within 2 years of that day, and they're at it again!

I'd rather stay as part of the UK, please!!!!  ;)

Is,t it the same with all referendums as the ROI and others have found, you have to keep going until the "right" result is obtained. A bit different with the SNP as they not in power in the UK so if they hold another ballot and HMG don,t recognize it, what then? :-\

£3.95bn is sales. Contribution to the exchequer is 76% of that. Certainly enough to keep wee Nicola in designer clothes and hairstyles, and maybe enough to keep Salmond in deep fried Mars bars.  :D
Joking aside, its a pretty insignificant sum in the overall picture.
