Preface lift omega replacment rear arches!
« on: 17 March 2016, 21:34:57 »

Hey guys as with all the preface lift omegas my rear arches are worse for wear! I can tidy them up and fill them and repaint them! But it will most certainly return after a while!

But being as fussy as I am I would rather cut them out and put new ones in! Anyone done it before? And if so where can I get replacement arches?

Many thanks!!

Rear wheel arch, right?

Yes, you will need to replace it, that would be the only long-term solution.
You can replace the whole rear quater-panel - this is the best way, but they are not easy to source, and it is an extensive job to remove the old quater panel.
Or you can buy an repair-wheel-arch- which is cut into the quater panel, and then welded - this is how most of the body-shops repair wheel arhces. See link below:

Also, most certainly, you will need to repair the inner wheel arc (wheel well) - but this is quite easily done with a strip of metal (0.5-1mm thick) shaped appropriately.
