More Fault Codes
« on: 03 April 2016, 14:09:11 »

Ok this one is strange. My 2001 2.6 started acting strange.

Occasionally on start up she would just die straight after starting and bring the eml on. Try restarting and she just turns over. However leave it a couple of minutes and she fires straight up and runs fine, on checking the fault codes I get the following:

1110 Intake manifold valve voltage
1612 Immoboliser no or wrong signal Immoboliser
1613 Immoboliser no or wrong signal Immoboliser

I have no idea what any of these are and could cause, any ideas folks???

Is the Immoboliser warning flashing when you turn it over?, can never remember if its the EML or the Screwdriver lamp, fairly sure its the later one.

When I first start it there's nothing, then after it cuts out and you try to restart it then the eml is flashing.

After I've left it a while, this doesn't flash

Any other car keys on the same key ring?, what happens if you try the spare key. you will have to open door, shut door, lock the car and unlock it again after each attempt to reset the immobilizer restart sequence system.

Has your key fallen apart recently, check the immobilizer chip is still in the key horseshoe bit.

No there's no other car keys on the key ring. I have however taken the key apart, cleaned and put back together.

Since then it hasn't done it again so hopefully fault solved.
