I need to have my fan working for 4 days before i get it fixed.
The fuse was okay so the sensor must be broken.

Is there a fan motor test thing somewhere or do i need to just take the plug off and get two wires and just push them in?

The fan never "kicked in yo" and the temps are near 100 celcius.
I need to car tomorrow. I have no problem if i have to open the hood and pull the wires out every time i stop the car. As long as it doesn't fry the headgasket for the next 4 days.

Apparently when i wiggle the temperature sensor the temp level goes up and down.

It's usually at 85 but when it heats up it was rising to 90.
Then i wiggled the wires behind the sensor and it dropped to 80..

Also i revved the engine at 2-3k rpm's for a minute or two and the two aux fans never kicked in.
I put the airconditioning to blast cold air inside to load the engine even more and the temps just went to 90. Then wiggling the sensor dropped the temps to 80.

Weird.. I know the temp sensor is bad but still i feel like the engine is heating up after a 30 min drive and idling on the stop lights.
No sound of cooling fan kicking in ever. Temps were at 95 at their hottest when i decided to turn the car off to prevent headgasket damage.

The sensor for the fan (is on rad) is nowhere near the sensors for ECU and dash (coolant bridge).

There is a test socket in the relay box that you could use - I believe there is a diagram of it in our guides section somewhere, have a look at the index at top of the guides section

Not sure what temp the Omega fans cut in at but 90 to 95 oC might be a little low,  as the fans of other cars I've worked cut at the 100 mark or just below the red zone of the temp gauge. Don't forget that your cooling system is under pressure there for as Boyle's law states "increasing the pressure increases the boiling point.

When i wiggled the sensor wires, it started to work again.. The temps were at 95 and after a wiggle, the temps dropped down to 80.
Today after a very hot sunny day, the two front fans kicked in.

I guess the sensor is just getting old...

Check. If when you wiggle the wires,then the fans cut in? Says to me the connection to the sensor is bad, or a broken wire.

Where are you wiggling? Back of engine? Or side of radiator?

What? There's another sensor at the back of the engine?

There are two thermoswitches in radiator,one directly below the top hose and the other a few inches further down.Then there are the ecu coolant temperature sensor and temperature sender unit both of which are on the coolant bridge.

Yes i'm having a similar problem after oil cooler change,have been flushing a lot and the temp on gauge is getting to about 100 ,no sign the fan is going to work.Would be good to test that it actually does work!! Still back to flushing!!

search out the guide for the cooling fan diagnostic socket in the relay box - this will allow you to permanently run fan, and also ascertain which switch (or fan) is faulty. Do it!!!
