clit diesel head gasket
« on: 10 May 2016, 22:24:23 »

Anyone have any knowledge of the clit 1.5dci?
Friend has recently bought a 2002 version and it over heated on him so he asked me to have a look. It seems like a failure as its pressurizing the coolant lines pretty much as soon as you start it, although it's not smoking at all and the oil and coolant are clear. I had bled it first but it just keeps pushing bubbles into the expansion tank.
A quick look round the internet seems to suggest it's an 8 hr job and while I was initially happy to change it for him if needed, I'm not sure how many days it will take me to put 8 hrs into it, he obviously needs his car sorting cheaply, but I can't commit to doing it for him if it is going to take me over a week.
Is it going to take 8hrs or is that just google talk?
Cheers, Al
