If we vote to stay....
« on: 09 June 2016, 22:17:55 »

.....and I suspect we will, there has to be the mother of all cabinet reshuffles. Will we actually recognise any of the front benchers? This whole debacle will carry on until at least the end of this parliament.

I think the Tory party are going to turn on Cameron whatever happens. I also think that Osborne has blown his chances of replacing him.
Boris could be in number 10 by Christmas, with Trump in the Whitehouse around the same time.
May god have mercy on our souls.  ;D

That is absolutely guaranteed to happen. The Tory party's real reason for existence for nearly three decades has been internal politicking to elect a new leader. Any excuse will do.

But I don't think even the Tory party is blind to Boris' ambition, and is likely to 'promote' him to Lord Boris of Balderdash and Drivel and make him ambassador to the Isle of Skye.

Of course its not "fact" as neither of them are yet (and hopefully never will be) in either position.... its called an "opinion", something to which everyone is entitled and needs no explanation or proof .. :)  :)

I was thinking about this today and the whole referendum thing and the timing could be a very shrewd move on Cameron's part.  :-\

The EU referendum is a national conversation that has been a long time coming and it has always been pretty clear that the Tory party would tear itself apart over it. Cameron didn't have to call this referendum until the end of 2017, but what better time to do this when the Labour party are in such a shambles?  ???  ::)

The question is who will recover in time for the General Election in 2020?  Labour or the Tories?  ???  ::)

This is the problem isn`t it, I have this image of Boris standing outside number 10 & posing with a Churchilian style salute to the nation; cos yet again this year we`ve been asked to turn out & vote  ::)

Indeed.. and didn't we have a third party in the race once too? Whatever happened to them? Maybe I was imagining it. ;D

I agree with stemo. I think overall the country will vote to stay in. I'm voting out but I'm saying what I see.

However, two weeks ago I'd have said it would be somewhere like 60 to 40. Now I reckon it's got closer more Like 55-45% to remain based purely on those debates. I thought the remain guys were awful in dodging their questions.
