Vacuum pipe from for under the plenum 3.2 v6
« on: 14 June 2016, 14:05:38 »

In the process of changing the plugs and when I removed the plenum the vacuum pipe from the for at the back just runs across the space under the plenum but is not connected to anything? What should this pipe be connected to?

It connects to a little brass hose barb on the throttle body at one end (through a rubber 90 degree elbow) and to the fuel pressure regulator at the other end.

Just had a quick look and the brass nipple on the throttle body is attached to the valve type thing that is mounted on the metal part of the trumpet intake, confused!! I have seen the vacuum diagram on the site but it doesn't show the fuel pressure regulator or the throttle body?

Been plumbed in wrong then...

For sits under plenum towards the back of the inlet manifold. It's physically impossible to lift of the plenum and not have that pipe come adrift.

Dread to think what that car is like to drive...

It was actually not that bad to drive, fixed now and picks up much better.

You clearly don't exceed 2,500 rpm very often :-X

Thanks for the help with this! Under 2500 was where it was disappointing, over that and towards the red line it pulled like a train. Anyway all better now
