My Omega B history has been short, so far.
First one was in 2010, bought a scruffy PFL manual 2.5 TD saloon. Didn't like it, always felt that it was gutless at low speeds, but it absolutely flew on the motorway. Only had it for a few months then scrapped.
Second one was a FL 2.5 CDX Saloon that had be retrofitted with a 2.3TD engine from a Carlton (Omega A), coupled to a Monza 4-speed auto gearbox. The previous owner did all of the work, and almost everything was made to work (including the air-con and cruise control). Sadly, the engine ate it's own timing chain guide within weeks of buying the car. I parked it up for a few months and had a go at replacing the guide. Got everything unbolted and bolted back together, sadly I couldn't get the engine to run for the life of me. It probably only wanted timing up properly. Ended up being scrapped as I'd just crashed my other car and desperately needed something for work, and scrap price then was still fairly good. Shame as this was a really interesting and quirky car that drove well and was tidy too.
Current Omega is a PFL 2.5 TD CDX Auto Estate. Scruffy cosmetically but, from what I've seen so far, solid in the right places. Had it about a month, no plans to get rid as it's my only car and I quite like wafting about in it.
Prior to the Omega B's, I had multiple Carltons/Senators and Monzas.
