I have a 1.2 on a 04 plate and it does a perfectly good job of getting about. Bought it in advance for my daughter to have when she passes her test. There's a list of standard faults all of which are an easy fix and all have happened to mine despite only 59K on the clock.
Timing chain rattle
Throttle body pipe stub on cylinder head shearing - why they made it out of plastic I don't know, replacements are brass.
Leak through wiring/fuse box on n/s of scuttle
Windscreen wiper motor array seizing up
Has had both lower wishbones done and I did the coil pack last week.

All jobs dead easy

Engine is a bit manic on the motorway because of silly gearing, the driving position is rotten unless you have height adjustable seats but it's a good simple basic cheap runabout and surprisingly tough.
