Outside temp no reading
« on: 19 December 2016, 18:40:52 »

Hi

My outside temp display reads F_______oC

No temp seems to be displaying. Not sure what the F means at the start or if that is even to do with temp display, which is more to the right. I read in owners manual there is a problem that needs further investigation if it shows nothing.

02 plate 2.6 CD is the model in question.

I also checked for fault codes with pedal test, which gave constant flashing so no issues there.

While I'm at it is there a way to turn the blower fan completely off without hitting the big off button on the dash? The fan always seems to be on one notch. I sometimes use ram air with temp set at whatever I want when I don't need blower fan.

Sensor is in middle of bumper, underneath.  Inspect its wiring, then replace sensor (cheap)

Proper diagnostics tools would show it as faulty, but Andy B has kinda hit the nail.... ;D
