Had a P6B for a couple of years, lovely car but did like it's petrol. even ran ok ish when the distributor was faulty, got a new one from Enfield Pageant.

A different era of Rover I think back then. I really would like a P5B, coupe of course.

exactly what i had - 1998 model - ran brilliant for the 5 years i had it - no problems whatsoever....til the auto box died and i had to scrap it

common weak point apparently - so just be careful - mine had only done 80k

Auto fluid is fine and smells OK, if the box goes then so will the car, owes us nothing really, uses a little oil, I checked it the other day and could have done with a longer dipstick, this car is not overservices and just goes on and on, and swmbo hammers it....

if it ever smells burnt its time to go....of course I only noticed AFTER it died - so maybe theres no warning
