Seriously, glad nobody was hurt, and sounds like the car will make a full recovery as well

My first "my fault" in 47 years and over 1 million miles of motoring. So damn stupid as well. Got too close to a van in front (owned by a company called "Iron Maids"!!), sun went into my eyes; suddenly realised the van had stopped........screeeech.....too late......bang!! Hardly any damage to the van...........but mine  ................



 
But I have cried, fought, had some great luck, and yes all my be back to normal soon!!!

No way Tilbo. My new found friend says it will be like new once he is finished.  He runs a very neat and professional bodyshop, with oven. I understand his career has involved working with one of the country's largest body repair businesses and other main dealer bodyshops. Now he runs a great enterprise out in the countryside. He's lovely as well, being of a great personality!!

Thanks. Hopefully she will go in this coming week and it will take as long as needs be to get that perfect finish.  Don't miss her yet as she is still perfectly legal and ok to drive with insurer approval after their Jenkins & Paine dealer assessment.

I owned a brace of star silver Omega. Never really liked the colour much.

   





Both of mine were silver, and the Merc that replaced them is silver & the 4x4 as well ! Must have a change next time.

I do hanker after a car  finished in British racing green like a 1930 supercharged Bentley.

Oh yes! Now you are talking.  One of the best cars ever.  If I owned one only a 1908 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost could be swapped for it

Yes, the headlights are fine and still working, but the fixing brackets have sheared.  The bonnet is keeping them in place!
