There is absolutely nothing about the front end of Vauxhall's of that era to like. When you're being followed by an astra, an omega or even a corsa, you just can't tell which one it is. The arse end of the omega was always the best bit.

For the FL, yup, 100%.

PFL was at least unique.

I think they'd have to tweak the styling somewhat. Then of course if going petrol they'd probably fit it with something like a 3cyl 1L turbosupercharged engine so they could claim a gazillion mpg and a co2 figure you could grow daisies with, while knowing full well that no one has a hope of getting anywhere close as they'd have to thrash the backside out of it to actually get anywhere!Given the money would I buy a new car[of any type]?No I wouldn't given the budget to do so I'd buy a classic car not a newer one.

Starting around £35000 for the poverty spec model and then heavily discounted, I think it would do well.

If I held the reins I would make sure it  came only with 6 or 8 or 12 cylinder engines. :)

No arthritic 4 pot lumps, and no diesel option.

A fine handling drivers car. :y

Can I place a deposit? :)

Forget about the V8's and V12's unless they can shut down half of the cylinders when cruising.
Unless is a exotica brand, your stuck with 4 pots ranging upto a 6 pot turbo or turbo / supercharger or hybrid due to the leftie tree huggers quest for better emissions / mpg

Slightly off-topic, but why tree huggers? Trees NEED or CO2 emissions to exchange for oxygen - the untimate symbiotic relationship.  8)

Yes to all of that for me, but I think an 8 cylinder lump is the maximum that would fit into the "existing" blueprint. ;) :y :y
