The question was which favourite foods would you give up, not least favourite...

I am practically allergic to mashed potato, semolina, rice pudding, jam rolypoly, spotted dick and custard. Giving them up would be easy because I never eat them ::)

I am not sure that I could chose between salmon, chicken, duck or beef :-\

I thought the question was, what would you keep if all others were denied to you.
I confess to being guilty if diverting my answer to those that I hate, but only because I like SO many foods!
To answer properly, I would hate never to have that truly traditional English delicasy, fish and chips - especially at the seaside! YUM.  ;D ;D ;D

Fish and chips is something I look forward to on my rare returns to Blighty. However I usually find it a let down

Couldn't do without cheese if I had to give up all favourite foods. Funny thing is haven't had any for weeks now in a vain effort to get cholestrol below critical levels. ???

The let-down with the food from most chippies here will be the chips - they have gone all "healthy" and cook them to be dry on the outside and fluffy inside. Some people like them that way; I don't.
If when you are back here you go anywhere near Looe, in Cornwall, go to Emile's in The Barbican, at St. Martin's, just outside Looe. Lizzie might know where I mean.
What's so special? Apart from the generous portions, they are fried in animal fat, I believe, and are not in the least dry - limp, greasy and deffo unhealthy: but oh, the taste!!!!
Heaven doesn't get any better.
Regarding your cholesterol - are you on any form of Statins? I am, for exactly that reason.

Only food I've ever eaten that I don't like is porridge. I got out of my way to try new dishes whenever possible, here and abroad. Only one essential ingredient to keep and that is chilli as I do like my spicy food. :y :y :y

It does make life easy when anybody asks me what I want to eat, as I always reply absolutely anything except porridge. :y :y :y

The Question was, what would you keep if you only had a choice of keeping one.

clue is in the tittle, - So, If you had to Give Up your all Favorite Food....    But keep One.

The second part of the question is (in a round  about way) - what would you miss.

Most got it right.  :y

Especially in Brakkers. We have cornered the market on really shit chip shops.  I love chip shops, so every once in a while, I nip to chippy, only to be reminded of why I don't bother.  How can we have the worse 3 chip shops in the world? :(
