Hi, I have a Y26se engine and I wold like swap to x30xe, but, my engine has low milleage, and used x30 has high milleage, so I thought that use a x30 block, with new rings and bearings and use my heads with new gaskets, how would that be? Compression Ratio?

Waste of money, either fit the 3.0 with all the 2.6 electrical (sensors/coil packs/throttle) and call it done. Or if you are determined to spend money, by a crate 3.2 and fit that

Bit of a moot point though, seeing as you're on internet rather than earth, so you won't be able to drive it

If you put 2.6 heads on a 3.0, you'll end up with a dangerously high compression ratio, IMHO.

Fit the 3.0 as it is with the 2.6 ancillaries and loom. Mile4age doesn't really trouble these engines.

Daz did this to my cousins 2.6 when the bottom end went , 2.6 head on 3.0 block and it ran sweetly with no ill effects

As Kev sugested above, Daz fitted the 2.6 plenum and other DBW bits to the 3ltr block and ported head from Obi 

And yes, it did go very well

Pull the 2.6, remove the loom throttle body and sensors and fit them all to the 3.0. Fit the 3.0 and call it done.

That's the basics, obviously a cambelt kit would be a good idea. Also double check that the cylinder heads have the two bolt holes for the individual coil packs, post '98 3.0 have them

Fixed,, some didn't, the early my2000,, 3.0L didn't.

Fair point... It was done for the Catera going dbw, plus various gm products which had that lump

Well, finally I have a x30xe. Itīs from vauxhall  and itīs curious because is from a 98 omega prefacelift but has long intake manifold as my y26se. Any problem with the two holes for the coil packs?

The problem would be that they are missing...

Pull a coil pack from the 2.6 and you will be able to compare directly

I will see it soon then i will start with the swap. I do not think it's hard to adapt, right?

Do the coil packs need the retaining bolts to give a good earth/0 volt path to the cylinder heads?

If not then the rubber boots will probably stop the coil packs from moving (much)

They don't... But I wouldn't chance it...
