Good result!  :)

Usually run on power from OBD when I take my Omega's for MOT... Think something to do with ripple effect from alternator

thinking about it,the emission machine dongle probably asks the ecu for engine type ,speed,oil temp ,vin number , rpm etc

When they did mine whatever it is they connect to the port under the steering column wouldn't connect to their equipment.They took the oil temp by sticking a probe down the dipstick tube.
Good result on yours :y

It's a year today since I purchased my Omega  :)
Ok, so it took me till mid May to actually stop driving my lovely Carlton (which had all 3 pedals 8)) and start driving the Omega  :D
