So did anyone see the fastest man in the World run 100 metres?

9.69 seconds and was celebrating before he had finished  :D

What a race made everyone else look slow :o

I think the governing body insists on an amalgamated UK team, and this is why the home football body won't put a team into the Olympics in case it sets a precedent for the World Cup, resulting in one instead of four teams able to qualify.

think if we amalgamate a football team it will fall right into "slack Bladders" evil plan , but there would be some right barneys on who would be in team and who'd manage it . But other than that its been a great day for Great Britain long may it carry on , and Bolt was taking the pee abit in 100m reckon he could have 9.60 if he kept going to line flat out  :D :D

The question about the UK/GB team is a pertinent one. Great Britain comprises England, Wales and Scotland. The United Kingdom comprises England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. To the best of my knowledge NI are in the GB Olympic team and have even won a gold medal.

So, strictly speaking, our team should be called Team UK or the United Kingdom Olympic Team.
