Then Verhofstadt revealing that Olly Robbins had asked his permission to become a Belgian citizen when its all over. Ddint we used to hang collaborators ?

But blaming Cameron and May for austerity is a ridiculous notion. You've actually Blair and Browns' economic policy to thank for that

As for austerity causing people to kill themselves, that wouldn't have anything to do with them living beyond their means when times were "good" with artificially high wages and benefits and housing being handed out to everyone regardless of actual need?

A cynic might have reason to suggest that somebody actually conceived the whole dastardly idea just to further the Socialist* cause by creating a welfare dependency in the wake of the financial crash

*Ironic given that the concept of controlling people by poverty doesn't seem particularly sociable.
