Quite simply because from day one after the vote , I said he establishment will overturn the vote.
I still believe that now. I cannot see Hunt or Johnson doing anything different following May selling us out. Parliament isnt going to vote for leaving. Nothing has changed other than that awful May has gone.
My money is still on us remaining. Hence it is actually very important what is actually going on in the EU right now. Brexit party or Lib Dems MEP antics are just a freak side show.
But that is the thing Varche, nothing on the face of it has changed really since the referendum, with everything still pointing towards a Brexit.
Now I was a remainer, but now.................let's face it the EU is going down, becoming worse for everyone in it, when it could have been so different, being a true assembly of European nations, not a federal dictatorship.
The fact that the Brexit Party have managed to have elected 29 MEP's, with 33% of the vote, when they represent nothing but "Leave", and has the other UK parties trailing badly in the numbers they have enjoyed, says a lot about how the British people are currently feeling. That is why Parliament is so polarised and fragmented across the main parties, as the MP's know the underlying belief of the majority of British people, especially when the EU has been so difficult and dictatorial during negotiations, is to leave as soon as possible. They are completely fed up now, and just want out. So do I now!
The Remainer MP's know that whatever they may want to do, they stand to be judged very badly if they now stand in the way of how the population feel.
It is a mess, and the Conservative leadership contest will not resolve that. A general election could, but we still have to reach an agreement with the EU to leave no matter who is in charge..................so, yes, we go around the Mulberry Bush again, again, again..................!!!
