my mate was well chuffed with health and safety, firstly he was on a building site standing on a solid milk crate and was told to get off and use a scissor jack (which promptly collapsed and injured his arm)
then he was issued with a taller hard hat and wrenched his neck hitting the hat on some scaffolding (just scimming the scaffolding- that would not have happened with the old one)
so now he tells the site h&s man to p1ss off or he will sue him- and it works !!!

Well like many other people in my lowly profession i have virtually no health and safety guidelines....hell if i did id not be allowed to work.

Large empty building...at risk from intruders....need too climb stairs that are near vertical 3 times a night....company insist on building being in darkness (yeah right  )...inadequate seating (yes coverd by H&S) NO heating in winter...oh i could go on and on.

H&S is all very well and good if your sensible with it....unfortunately yet again are nanny state doesn't know what its damn well doing.
