Opening and closing the sun roof
« on: 19 May 2020, 16:00:51 »

2000 Omega 2.5 perol manual estate old shape
I had planned to scrap this car when the MOT expired in April, so I dumped all my manuals. Then the coronavirus changed all that. Trying to open my sunroof, all I achieve is its moving backwards. How do I close it again? Come to that, how does it work? Is there a guide?

It's all in the handbook ;D

Cap off the control panel, insert whatever implement the orifice demands and turn. If this doesn't achieve the desired result, turn it the other way.

If you're bored, drop the headlining and remove the whole assembly.  ;D

Thanks for the quick response. I have found that the Vectra manual tells me how to do it.

Since you're not actually driving anywhere, I think your wife should take all of your car keys off you.  ;D

I can see the headlines now... "Enthusiastic car owner loses ALL his car keys when his long suffering wife put them 'somewhere safe'" ::)

Nah, that's too long for a headline.

Out of interest, is it possible that a Carlton / Senator sunroof unit is the same?
