That has never made sense to me... It's like switching OFF a 500+ bhp brake ::)

With cruise set, the vebs keeps it in check,   no cruise on no Eco-roll, you can st the over run to 110k, set mine at 100k.

Full auto braking at 40tonnes

How does the braking distance compare with a car, BG?

Surely weight must play a part.

We don't have any with this full auto emergency braking system, the on board ecu work it all out, that video used a full loaded outfit, so it weighs in at 40tonnes,  looking at when it starts to brake, I'd be crapping myself, same as when using acc, you do get bloody close before it slows up.

Allegedly were getting some new units around Christmas so should have acc, and Anti-collision braking,, don't think I'm going to see if they work... :o

The EBS/ABS anti roll stops all that,  as does TC, they all work together,, the days of having the unit going one way trailer going the other as you exit roundabouts, have gone,   :'(

The damp roundabouts to gateways is easily stopped, don't press the loud pedal to much, O and go slower,  the other reason that happens is the trailer is pushing the unit, causing the unit to understeer, and not getting traction, very common on 6x2.. too fast

The DAF system is dangerously stupid... Applies full braking with lots of angry boings if the camera sees something that it thinks you're about to hit... Like a gate post or bollard as you swing round it with any vigour...

Really annoying first time it happens, but most entertaining if you've passengers who aren't expecting it ;D

.

Ar yes the DAF system, haven't heard one good thing about that yet, it can be deactivated, so I'm told by pressing the switch for 20secs on initial start up. Same as eco mode needs switching off too.

Some are dealer programed, so the system cannot be switched off,  also if it does turn off, the Bing bongs will still sound
