Saw one this afternoon at the dock viewing area in Felixstowe. Christ, what a beast.

They'd either give you a good work out or a hernia if you dropped one wouldn't they? There's no wonder it needs a 2.5L engine!

Twin 320mm brembo front brakes! Holy shit that’s the same set up as an Evo  (5 6 7 8 9) bet it stops a bit👀

Impressive beast until you get to a twisty road. Then spotty 17 year old on his 125 rides rings round you.
Personally I dont see the point of them.

Impressive that they claim to have reduced its weight by 40kg over the earlier model. Still 294kg though.

It is certainly a weighty bastard, but I still like it.

An original BSA Rocket 3 from 1968 would be better though.......although in reality it would probably be shit slow, unreliable, and leak oil over the garage floor. :)

A proper Brit bike... ;)

When I got my first bike, a Kawasaki AE50 at 16, my Dad handed me an old tea tray and the conversation went something like this...

Dad: Here, stick this under it.
Me:  What's that for?
Dad: To catch the leaking oil.
Me: It doesn't leak oil!
Dad: Of course it does. All motorbikes leak oil!

He always had 'proper' Brit bikes!  ;D

Old Brit iron usually leaked because the crankcase was split vertically.

The Nips spilt the crankcase horizontally.

My Uncle carried on biking long after my Dad gave up, but stuck to Brit bikes, Norton Commando's, Triumph Bonneville's etc and derisively referred to Japanese bikes as Crapanese.   ::)

He took a Bonneville in for service and the dealer persuaded him to take a Suzuki out for a run.  He came home with it!  ;D
