Sorry to see you go Fin. I thought you were a smashing bloke after meeting you at the Santa Pod meet, and was quite suprised that you left in such a flurry (I don't even know what that word means!).

It's a sorry state of affairs when people can get so worked up about such trivial matters (trivial IMO).

Knowing Fin as I do, I think describing him as a "Godfather" is very apt!  ;D

Mate, your input, both serious and ridiculous (damn those pills are good!) will be sorely missed.
You know you will always be welcomed back, Omega owner or not.

Although I've already posted on this subject, Mr McB's departure troubles me. Not because he is no longer tinkering with Omegas, but because he has found offence at some of the threads and postings.  Whilst not especially religious myself, I do respect others views on the subject.  I've never had the pleasure of meeting the man and he may well be a most righteous God fearing person, but i must have missed the point.  As far as I can see, the ridicule and micky taking centred around the more trivial aspects of Christmas, and not the Holy sanctity of the church and the centre of it's belief.
If i am wrong about this than I will stand corrected.
Ronnie is a most respected man, and it concerns me that he has left us for these reasons.  I'm not sure at this point what i am trying to say, but the whole thing bothers me.  Are we as a sample of general life in this country that bad?  I would like to think not but we sure have offended someone. :(

It is called the silly season for a reason.  I suspect Ronnie was frustrated about only being half-involved, especially with his diminished involvement in Omegas.  Even he said the Xmas thing wasn't the main reason he left.  Hopefully after the silly season we will see him again.  He certainly contributed more to this place than just stories about projects and technical info.  His ramblings will be missed.  :'(

With all due respect to you guy's as it is nothing to do with me, being a Newby. Something has has happened withein this Omega forum. Which is obviously very profound to you guy's. For my self I don't
know whats happend or upset you or the person that has left. Maybe I have missed a posting or something but to me its such a shame that someone can take such umbrage about something that is posted on on a forum!!!! That's why they are there, to read everybodies or somebodies views, argeeable or not!! Its a shrug of the shoulders,  and you think 'Sound' or you think 'Pratt'.
Just my views ,about something that sounds very heavy for you guy's but I don't know what its about!!!
If I am out of order please forgive me!

Well personally i saw very little reason for Teddies to be ejected from the pram.

EVERYONE is entitled to their own opinion and there was hardly anythng of Earth shattering importance said.

For me , i consider myself a Christian and still pray every night.

As for Christmas i would sum it up as "buying presemts that i can ill afford and receiving presents that i dont particularly need or want" !

Not being Scrooge just being honest.

I do hope that we do not loose any other members as a result of my offensive seasonal rant.

Agreed, think everything that needs to be said has been said.  Thread should be ended.  Lets get back to welcoming new members and increasing our post count, I may even get in on the action!!!
