Not sure I would agree with that. Russell won both the GP3 and GP2 Championships at his first attempt, and today is the first time in his F1 career that he has been outqualified by a team mate. He is a serious talent biding his time in a slow car, until Mercedes put him in  their car to replace Bottas or Hamilton retires whichever comes first.
Verstappen has a lot of potential, but imo hes still quite a long way from the finished article. Still impetuous, immature, and very arrogant.
He is naturally quick though, and thats something you cant teach. I actually think going to F1 so young hasnt been good for him. Had he arrived a bit older with a bit of maturity he would have arrived closer to a complete package, rather than a raw talent.
If he were to partner Hamilton at Mercedes there would certainly be fireworks, but over a season I have little doubt that Hamilton would beat him more often than not.

Still impetuous, immature, and very arrogant.
The key requirements in my book.

I will be kinder and call it passion, or a desire to win.

To be honest, the same applies to most things.  I've been blessed to work with some really, really clever people, and invariably the best all suffer those traits.  The lesser mortals who dont move into management instead.

If someone is having a bad day, broken keyboards and smashed monitors is the norm, about as immature and impetulant* as you can get.

*Or youthful exuberance as my old controller wrote about me...

I have never broken a monitor through immaturity impetulance.

(Just remember I smashed one with a stray Nerf gun foam bullet, which is pretty immature ;D)

Imo Spontaneity, passion, and self belief arent the same as Impetuousness, immaturity and arrogance, although can easily confused with them.  :)

It is indeed. But being either side of the line can make a big difference in many circumstances.  :y
