Yup, many moons ago. Stood me in good stead for getting my blue light tickets a few years later. I would heartily recommend Rospa to anyone.

Also, as you're only in York, when all this nonsense settles down let me know if you fancy a run out and see what it's all about. :y

Yes many years ago, still got certificates up in the loft, don't think I ever got reduced insurance premiums through having them though, did the test when I was in London Ambulance Service.

Drove to Mums this morning, fog was quite thick, 50yds or so. The amount of drivers running on DRLs only was mind boggling. Also a few with no lights at all.  :o ::)

I took my advanced test years ago
Have had some greatly reduced insurance premiums since
They do have a dedicated insurer as well
Did it due to the amount of miles I was doing around the country at the time

£15-20 an hour when I did mine in '94/5... £30 an hour now is pretty reasonable in the scheme of things.

HGV lessons are about £60 an hour...

Indeed.  £30 an hour sounds like a reasonable income, especially for someone who can pick and choose when they work, but, when you look at how the cost of fuel, insurance etc has rocketed over the years......

Certainly not a job I could do either..... I'd lose my rag (and probably my liberty) in minutes!  ;D

My first job in '95 was £3.45 an hour to give that some perspective.

It's a life skill, and actually worth every penny :y

Mine were £20 an hour in '87/88. Perhaps Pauls magnetic Cavaliers were more expensive than normal ones?
