Women and 4x4's!!
« on: 02 September 2008, 17:37:31 »

Normally I defend my own gender come what may, as we have problems in our lives such as husbands, children, a multitude of domestic issues and,yes of course, that time of the month that can make us seem on occasions as being quite unstable if not positively insane!! ::) ::) :D ;)

However, is it just me that come across so many miserable, inpolite and damn right bitchy women who happen to be driving 4x4's, especially BMW X5's in supermarket car parks? >:( >:(

Yet again today I encountered another women who had placed her bloody big vehicle right on the wrong side of the "road" and blocked my exit from the space I was in.  She decided to get all upset and pissy when I forced her to move to let me out! ::) >:( >:( >:(

If these woman cannot handle big machines (and I am a woman fully experienced at driving large vehicles) then why do they?  I have seen them all too often getting all agitated because they find it so difficult to manoeuvre large 4x4's, and start arguments with other drivers especially in car parks but also outside schools. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

If they can afford 4x4's they should be able to afford a smaller, sensible, car for going around town to avoid their own frustrations. ::) ::) ::) ::) :y

It is either them or their husbands who are Bloody Minded Wxxkers! >:( >:( >:( >:(

Aggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Rant over, and feel so much better for it!  :D :D ;)

Sorry Lizzie but not many women can park small cars let alone huge 4 by 4.
I once had to help a woman reverse her Astra out of a car parking space in Sainsbury's.  Poor lamb could not find reverse.
But for all their faults the world would be a much poorer place without the ladies.............especially on those cold winter nights. :y :y

The thing that bugs me about the whole 4x4 thing is this superiority thing. I'm driving around in my BMW X5, Merc (whatever!), Audi Q8 which means I'm far more superior to you and can park/drive like a idiot >:( Let's face it, how often do you see these type of cars use their indicators? I guess they're far to engrossed in getting them from A to B to bother with such menial things as indicators (which isn't for your benefit let's face it, it's for other road users-selfishness again!)

Lizzie it's nice to hear a lady gnashing her teeth over these things, it's obviously not just us blokes :y

Of course you could always be a trendsetter and do your own thing (and drive an Omega).

.. or do your shopping in a proper tractor. I guess if you turned up in a John Deere it wouldn't matter if they got out of your way or not.  ;D

My cousin has a John Deere and through Truro he occasionally beats cars and vans when not loaded (market there).

His tractor will do about 30 - his newest I think is a V6, he says that on the Truro Falmouth route there are very few places to pull in* so just has to go flat out, but once on a DC he used the overtaking lane to pass a slower tractor!

* Basically Playing Place

Had my first drive in a Tractor yesterday evening, actually. A Ford 6600. 8-)

Wouldn't have fancied its' chances in a TLGP. :-X
