Oh...so fully vaccinated people can't pass on covid in exactly the same way as unvaccinated people can.

It's not a crucial point at all.

Come on Lizzie....you can do better than this.

until the Omicron mutation ,Vaccinated people where more resilient statistically to catching Delta variant (the immunity attacked and killed the Delta variant) compared to NON vaccinated people .

it's looking like the Omicron variant  doesn't care if you're vaccinated or not ,but it's early days

Looks like London has the lowest vaccy rate in the UK at around 65%.

As far as I am concerned people can choose to take it or not. Most vaccines are developed over a long period of time so I wouldn't blame anyone for not trusting a vaccine that was developed by boffins during their lunch break.

As for giving it to small kids..... :-\

Nobody should lose their job for choosing not to take it, and I feel sorry for the Care profession who have been thrown under the bus.

I won't be having a 3rd, 4th....or 27th jab.
But you had the 1st and 2nd jabs..........just in case  ;D ;D

Yes....but that is my choice. As is not having any more.

By next Christmas you'll be on jab 78 and your immune system will probably be f*ucked.
If you're against the jab, you're against the jab. You're like so many of your ilk, shouting from the sidelines trying to get others to do your dirty work for you. Like schoolkids standing around a fight, but being careful not to get involved.
"That's it lads, refuse the jab!" Me? Oh, yes I've had it. But I wouldn't have it if I were you, oh no.

F*ucking hell it's not difficult to understand.

I'm not against the jab. I am against the compulsion for anyone to be jabbed against their will, or lose their job because they don't want to comply. I am not telling anybody NOT to get jabbed but simply saying I will have no more jabs.

You can get jabbed as often as you like. I really don't give a shit.

Along with many others you will probably comply with whatever the government tells you to do. :-\
Doesn't matter whether you have any more jabs or not, you are a vaccinated person. You can't be two thirds of a vaccinated person so, if you gladly got the first two, why not the third? Makes no sense at all.
Luckily, for the rest of us, you are in a small minority.

My thoughts entirely. No need for any more.

If it is not enough to 'protect me fully' I can live with that.
If you're not interested in being protected, why bother being vaccinated at all? Or are you saying you're happy only being two thirds protected? Perhaps a condom with only a 33% chance of splitting may be ok with you, but I would prefer much better odds.  ::)

You seem to struggle with the idea of personal choice. :-\

It is not necessary for my personal decisions to mirror your own ......or that of anyone else.

Get  jabbed.....no jabs.....20 jabs.....50 jabs. All personal choice.
Personal choice is only personal when it doesn't affect others.

That IS the crucial point :y :y

That is why health PROFESSIONALS have to be fully jabbed or no longer carry on “caring” for patients ;)

Oh...so fully vaccinated people can't pass on covid in exactly the same way as unvaccinated people can.

It's not a crucial point at all.

Come on Lizzie....you can do better than this.

Fully vaccinated people can pass on Covid, but at a greatly reduced level as unvaccinated people. So when it comes to professional in the health field dealing directly with patients, it IS a crucial point.

An NHS senior doctor said two weeks ago that he expected any health care professional to be fully vaccinated “qualified” as he was expected to be if they really wanted to look after patients. ;)

The question we should be asking ourselves is why any qualified healthcare professional would refuse to be vaccinated?  ???

Whether it's true or not I don't know, but I saw an estimate that the NHS will lose 100,000 nurses due to the unvaccinated rule.  :-X

The compulsory jabs in care professions, (and bus drivers and office workers and self employed benefit seekers), is the exact opposite of 'personal choice'. The clue is in the use of the word compulsory.

Rather than bleating about all the staff suddenly quitting, perhaps they would be better off genuinely respecting freedom of choice rather than merely claiming to.

After all, if someone in care is vulnerable and agrees to it, they should have as many jabs as they wish or require. If a carer chooses not to have a vaccine, that's on them.

Freedom of choice is always preferable to compulsion. This is what various governments and people hiding under mattresses are failing to grasp, let alone accept.

If we're going to catch it anyways, we may as well encourage it.

Opti and you haven't said what the age cut off point is to put all the covid infections in a field instead of hospitals yet  ::)

allowing the spread gives people time to find solutions like new Vaccines

blimey DG , I covered this earlier today , my fish have a better short term memory  :D

At what point should an infected person with minimal symptoms be in hospital? Never should be the obvious answer unless you want to use it as an excuse for not doing anything else ???

Same question regarding ongoing mutations... Use the time and effort to better serve people that haven't been served over the last two years.

they only hospitalise people who need to be DG  ::)
to treat people who can't breathe without help etc
you don't just get admitted for passing the test  ;D

Same question regarding ongoing mutations... Use the time and effort to better serve people that haven't been served over the last two years.
so if you get re-infected with a new strain like Omicron but unfortunately you suffer badly with it and can't breathe without help you need to go to the Covid timewaster field ,run by you and Opti

will this field of death be free ? or does it need paying for ? hope you have a big enough field  ::)

I suspect not with your short sighted approach to the ongoing Covid crisis  :D

People get a fresh strain of flu every year. No uproar about whether or not they have been vaccinated.

Granted some will end up in the hospital with flu, but 99.97% of people with flu seem to get by OK.
