Covid has mutated to Omicron variant ,which spreads very rapidly and re-infects even double jabbed.

it may or may not be mild ,and long term effects of even the original Wuhan strain .

now Covid just needs another mutation (and each new case is a billion potential mutations)  to attack everyone and swap from 1% death rate to 99% death rate .

so wearing a mask in shops etc seems trivial compared to what could happen

From what I understand viruses generally get more infectious as they mutate, but the effects of the illness get milder as the hosts immune systems adjust to deal with the threat, either through vaccination or previous infection.

For a virus to survive it has to stop killing its hosts.

although all opinions of people are right to a certain degree there is one obvious thing.

wether or not the members of the gov or anyone else for that matter dont follow the rules .

each person that does is still helping the nhs situation to a degree .and the more the better obviously ( there will never ever be 100% ) will all make other hospital treatments within reach and should save a lot more lives.especially on time related illnesses such as cancer.etc.
im doing my bit,youre doing yours etc etc .it all helps i suppose.
as mentioned ,untill a non follower of rules or non beleiver experiences first hand the devastation that covid can cause then they may (MAY) think twice ? ?

this argument (or thread even !) could go on forever but no matter what there have always been and will always be people who dont like being told what to do. fact.
and this situation will continue forever untill we can either build new hospitals( did that happen/ work ?) ,have more nhs staff ,more police ( much more) bigger fines .etc etc etc.

I refer you back to the Seff Effricans who have been saying that Omicon causes a milder illness than former covid variants. 

There's much to learn about Omicon of course, but I think that what we know so far is no cause for panic.

Actually is isn't accidental but rather the product of some very well funded research.

Bedblocking complaints are nowt more than propoganda. The whole point of the health service is to look after the medical needs of everyone. Had it been a rush on measles then they still would have deferred everything else.

The government can't wipe its own arse, so there's that.

Once it had been established that the first lockdown didn't work that should have been the end of it, but no, everyone is being punished whether they follow the rules or not.

"32 mutations to the spike protein"  + "10 mutations on the receptor binding domain" = better transmitability + bypass current vaccines + Delta variant mutations to it's arsenal .

So ,compared to the original Wuhan strain from just 2 years ago, Omicon has taken steriods and been to the GYM
