Author Topic: Just got my Haynes for.......  (Read 3915 times)

Just got my Haynes for.......

.......the wifes MGZT. Its just been published, had it on order since april.

So, I thought, first job to look at........cambelt. Shock horror :o :o

To renew the timing BELTS( there are two), you have to remove: deep breath....

Right hand engine mount
Alternator
Power steering pump
Oil cooler
Air conditioning compressor
Lots of other 'bits'
Drain engine oil
Remove dipstick tube

Job for the garage methinks :'(

Mind you, it only needs doing every 90,000. In other words, just the ONCE ;D

I wonder if this would be the same on my dad 2.5 v6 75(not zt) but not to worry about that only done 18,000 miles

Possibly one of those jobs thats not hard or need too much skill, but is time consuming?
