All this talk of curr so had to be Chicken Madras last night with Bombay potatoes pilau rice,stuffed parathas & onion bhajis, not forgetting poppadoms & pickles for starters and of course 3 pints of Kingfisher, bloody lovely.

Just got home and random car in my parking space, shitty phone call to agents to say a lot of us are getting pissed off and its about time they put numbers up for our spaces. Not the first time I have done this but sounded like the person I spoke to this time will do something.

Old age and going senile is pissing me off. 

Installed a new washing machine in my daughter’s new house and when connecting the waste pipe under the sink I heard a tick, tick, tick noise. It definitely sounded like a leak somewhere, so out came the torch followed by a search and feel for a wet pipe. Nope, nothing, everything was bone dry. I checked behind the plinths and again, all was dry.
I asked my daughter to stick her head under the sink to double check and she couldn’t hear anything. She said ‘I can’t hear a drip but I can hear your mechanical heart valves ticking’.   

Twenty frigging minutes I’d been searching for a leak that wasn’t even there.    It was my decrepit old mended body, amplified by my hearing aids inside a cabinet. Dear lord, what have I become.

Nothing today at all , fantastic lunch at the best pub in our area great food & excellent service by the young lad that had been assigned to looking after all 18 of us , weekend celebrations have now ceased & back to normality.

We’re just a few months apart Andy.    I’m March ‘62’. I’m not doing too bad really, considering I came very close to leaving this world in 2022.      It puffs me out playing footie with the grandchildren though.

Bit of rain, everything gets cancelled.  So had to drive to Croydon instead.  Which, lets face it, was cheaper, faster, more comfortable, so probably a blessing in dusguise.
