I had a funeral to go to on Friday morning, offered to give a lift to a couple of neighbours. Thought I'd better give it a bit of a clean. Jeez....it took me two hours to clean the mud from the floor inside. I swear it drove faster to the crem, must have been half a ton lighter.

My neighbour was washing his car earlier, but seemed disinterested when I asked if he fancied doing mine.

Based on the fact it was washed shortly after its puddle dunking in Feb '25, I reckon it has a years worth of mud and shite on it.

Woke up to a text telling me they have changed the aircraft on my flight today... As a result they'd moved Mum and put me on standby 

Obviously that wasn't going to work, so now on the later flight.

I wouldn't have minded but the aircraft hadn't changed since we checked in last night. It's all well and good saying XYZ but it pisses me off when they tell people things that are categorically untrue. To the point that if a passenger asks me a question, I always answer truthfully rather than try to make excuses for the company's shortcomings.

Notwithstanding that it's very much a First World problem, but we were in Row 1 so the size of the aircraft should be irrelevant

Apparently the aircraft is normally an A321 but they swapped it yesterday for an A320. Splitting up a booking containing an assistance passenger is just plain retarded.

Any hoo, home in one piece, so there's better things to fret about.

Yup. BA have a full bulkhead fixture. Easy Jet do not, so only the ABDF seats are allowed to be used. The exception on the Orange Product is the 319, if they've any left, where there's no panel ahead of 1ABC, so not useable for assisting passengers. Same rules as the other over wing/exit rows/seat. Even if 1C was off the table, we could have swapped as 1A wouldn't have been an issue as we were on the same booking.

The glaring exception is that whilst mobility categories cannot sit in an exit seat, DSAB over 12 can

I have, without blinking moved Gold Card w*nkers out of an overwing seat because they've refused to give adequate responses to the specific briefing. "I want extra legroom" doesn't qualify anyone to sit there if they're not prepared (or physically capable of opening the exit.

DPD were suppose to deliver a hub for the C1 to me at work between 1845 - 1945 this evening.
Around 1935 I got a message from them to say they had attempted delivery, sorry they missed me, and they will try again tomorrow.
I sat watching the camera for the gate vehicles enter through the whole time and they hadnt attempted delivery at all.
I messaged them back saying thier driver is a lair and I have the footage to prove it.
I dont suppose anyone will take any notice.
