Hopefully this may help?
Self levelling rear shock absorbers have been unavailable for some time, and unfortunately they were not been available other than from GM / Vauxhall/Opel dealerships.
I'd be interested however to know who actually made them for GM....

Monroe were an aftermarket supplier of the air shocks. You might find NOS ones but GLWT. Sachs were the factory supplier of the standard ones.

Personally, I would replace the springs with Kilen HD ones and the air shocks with standard Sachs.

And again saloon and estate rear springs and shocks are different.

Divvy. Like I said, someone from Lithuania isn't going to know that, are they?

I'm a bit surprised you didn't start talking about shocks for a Vauxhall nova, to be honest  ;D

Monroe did supply aftermarket air shocks that would fit the Omega / Catera, but they were different to the original equipment parts, and not a straight replacement. They were raised or lowered by an airline as some models of the old Cavalier rather than the compressor as on the Omega and before it is said the air connections on the shocks were totally different.
That's why I asked if anyone knew who made the original GM air shocks for the Omega - not who made aftermarket parts that weren't a straight replacement.
Oh and yes, of course the saloons are different from estates - as we have to be repeatedly reminded of everytime rear shock absorbers crop up... ::)

The air lines are easily adapted to suit. The Monroe set up does nothing different in the way it works other than the factory system uses a compressor switched by a single level sensor rather than a tyre inflator.

That said, it's a moot point as the Monroe units are as obsolete as the GM ones. The Sachs aftermarket shocks are supplied with the factory type bushes which is more than can be said for others such as Biltsein B4s.

Besides, Tomasskks post was the first post on page 5 as I saw it, so my reply was directly to that post.

And, yes, I know I keep emphasising the point re saloon/estate rear suspension. But you never know who might be reading this forum in the future and might think they have struck hold when they find the completely wrong part.

This just shows that Stemo's point is absolutely right - our members from outside the UK do very well with the English language anyway, without the unnecessary quirks of the English language, abbreviations or initialisms (the first letter of a phrase which doesn't actually make a word that can be pronounced) that some obviously think is appropriate to use - it's actually not big and it's not clever, and doesn't encourage our foreign members to continue using the Forum.

I posted a smiley face in response to a post from someone else that finished a sentence with the same smiley face.

If you're genuinely triggered by that, you might well have bigger issues.

We all use words and phrases that don't make sense to everyone that we might encounter.

Albeit not in the context I used it glwt is actually a word... http://www.dukhrana.com/lexicon/word.php?adr=2:3770&font=Estrangelo+Edessa

It is also a version of the Welsh word for cult...

If anyone doesn't understand a word, phrase or expression and they ask for clarification I am more than happy to give it.

But it's a bit rich, don't you think, to accuse someone of not considering that English may not be someones first language whilst patronising those same non English speakers by presuming to speak for them.

And whilst you are constantly picking holes in things that someone you don't agree with posts, you might consider how that looks to people browsing through OOF.
