……….
Another appointment made but the charger man then said the hot water pipe was not 'bonded correctly'......I still have no idea what this means. :D
……..

It means that the copper pipework is not ‘earthed’ correctly somewhere in the system. It’s fairly common, especially when a section of copper pipe has been replaced with poly pipe, and the fitter hasn’t bridged the two copper sections with earth tag strap.  :y

Thanks, Mr YZ.

If I'd been blessed with a larger brain I would have known this. :-X ;)

And actually might not have to be earthed......it all depends on the type of pipe feeding the property and if that part of the install is considered an extraneous-conductive-part, but as we know, electricians rarely understand the regs so go for the 'earth everything' approach as its easier........more confused?  ;D

So Opti, what flavour milk float is coming your way ?

I know very little about the milk float variety of transport. What I do know I don't like them very much as electric cars are more 'kitchen appliance white goods' than actual motor cars.

Perhaps somebody can give me an idea of a good electric car.... :y
……..

You won’t have to worry about it soon, as the car manufacturers are starting to break rank before the EV mandate breaks them financially. Apparently the likes of Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, VW/Audi, etc are going back to petrol and diesel, or at least hybrid, as their main sellers, citing poor sales and the general lack of interest in EV’s. Once a couple of big players do this I’m guessing that other big brands will follow. Donald’s shutting all of his federal government charging stations down and flogging the EV fleet. Normality may return one day.  ::)

With a bit of luck this net zero madness will pass  much like the 'gender boll*ocks' is now starting to fall  apart.

It might take a while... I work with people who won't go to the US because of Trumps gender policy. Yet they happily go to Dubai for the shopping🤐

Crazy shit.

Trump believes human beings exist in the shape of XX women and XY men. We have known this since the dawn of time.

I imagine people who  believe otherwise also believe the earth is flat, and the moon landings never happened.

There are a few people who are not those two things but that's a natural occurrence and the confusion it causes them must be almost unbearable. Basically they get raised based on a conversation between the GP and parents and then life becomes a dice roll.

Female athletes who manage to finish in a dead heat with a 'wo'man and being asked to hand back the trophy to the 'wo'man because they only have one trophy and her having it wouldn't produce good optics is essentially what is wrong with the whole thing.

The rest of the policy aims to give jobs on merit rather than box ticking.
