Help - power issue
« on: 16 May 2025, 17:55:51 »

Hello looking for some advice,

My aux belt snapped after the tensioner pulley decided it had finally had enough.

Belt replaced no issue however I started it up and it’s running awful (really rough on idle), down on power to the point it’s not reaching 20mph, and I’ve got an intermittent engine management light, and a service light just appeared.

Short of scanning the car when the light appears but again it’s intermittent I’m not sure what’s happened.

Any advice is much appreciated, hoping it’s something simple but I never have that kind of luck.

Cheers!

Check the cam timing - its not unheard of for snapping aux belts to knock the cam belt out....
