His re election suggests that over half the US voters saw through all the media bias.

Although this article does nothing but reaffirm the justification his deep distrust of mainstream media outlets.

It's not about Trump, it's about the BBC. His wasn't the only story they totally misreported to suit their own ends. I really don't see why we should have to pay a tax to keep this load of shite in business.

The BBC has been nothing more than a lefty sounding board for decades.

If it wasn't so self important it would have been shut down years ago. It certainly wouldn't survive on a commercial level.

Trouble is, on a certain level, we need it. It's the only broadcaster that's got the reach to get important information out quickly, to almost everybody.

I can honestly say that we haven't watched any BBC channel for well over 25 years, so any announcements would bypass me anyway. I hate, despise the BBC and I'd love to live long enough to see the BBC die a death, but I can't see it happening because our corrupt government will do their utmost to keep them going. I watch very little TV, and when I do it's a film from Netflix or a drama that we binge watch from itvx, but never, ever, ever anything from the BBC. Unfortunately for me, my Mrs watches all of the old stuff from 30 odd years ago, but thankfully never anything on BBC. When a BBC spokesperson was interviewed, he said that if the BBC get cancelled we'd lose shows like Strictly Come Dancing. Is that it, is that their best defence.  ;D

If it's that important, there's the emergency alert system.

Well I did quite enjoy Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue, which I think was a BBC thriller/whodunnit?

But then considering what else is on (non-pay*) TV, thats not a high bar to set, as its about 70 channels of celebrity tits out or mindless police chase programmes.

*Yes, I know, the BBC is pay TV
