Right, found a pair head so that my weekend job sorted.

Quick question.
Can you remove the d/s head with the exhaust manifold still attached,just splitting it at the down pipe. Or do you need to remove it from the head.

Got to swop out the head this weekend and not sure the best way to do it.

Any advice welcome.

I took mine off still attached. Then split the manifold off on the bench.
Removed the heat shield first, and that awkward coolant pipe that goes round the back.
Very fiddly but do-able.
