I wouldn't know if my stop/start works or not. Disabling it is part of my pre-takeoff routine.

Only driven one car with stop start a small Merc haven't got a clue what model number it was , hired it for a week in Spain, I wasn't aware of the stop start as it hadn't been explained to me  they were only concerned about the Euros, once I realised what it was I turned it off , crazy idea.

Broken stop-start is only ever a good thing. For the driver, those following and society in general.

Completely agree!  :y

It took me a while to realise it didn't work for that very same reason  :y :y

Some years back, MB gave me a courtesy car, needless to say a young woman followed me out to show me how to drive it  ::) I only had 1 question .... wheres the stop/start button?  :y :y

Same here,  :y although I’m lucky with mine that when I went to code it out, I get three choices.

Default on, Default off and memory. Memory selects the last chosen setting on start up, so in my case I choose to deactivate it once and it will stay off forever until somebody presses it to change it, which won’t be me.  :)  Why can’t they all be like this.

Chap next door has just bought a '17 CLS350 and is having issues with Eco mode amongst other things. As the car fires up instantly, the consensus is that the aux battery is on its way out. Lent him one of my chargers to top it up to see if it's salvageable...

Unfortunately my Xentry only has prototype mode for the W212 and zero support for the 218. No codes apparent in the modules I can read.

I disconnected the two batteries on my car from each other a while ago .... pretty sure it was the aux battery on mine that was a little on the low side.
