The 2000 was a nice size car for trips to Grandparents in Durham  and Aberdeen.

At some point we ended up with a Dolomite Sprint 1850 quite nippy :y

………
The sales Directer had the 2500PI different league again. ::) :y

My mate had a Triumph 2500 S and another mate had the 2000. Both were bought to banger race but were too good not to have some fun in first. We were going to Wycombe up the M40 when the lead car, the 2000, called us alongside to say that he was flat out and needed a push up the hill.
We dropped in behind him, closed the gap and were giving him a gentle push when there was a clunk. The angle of the lower half of the 2500 S chrome front bumper had ridden over the top of the tow ball of the 2000 and we were stuck. We both had to ease over to the hard shoulder in tandem so that we could stop and bounce it back off. Ah, the things we did in our youth and got away with. Total madness when I think about it now.  :-[

Yep....I owned one. Bright yellow with Stag wheels as standard. Pretty sure my car had overdrive on 2nd, 3rd, and top gear, so 7 gears to play with. Sadly, there was no fuel injection just twin SU carbs so she barely made 100 BHP. Sounded great though and the closest I ever got to a TR6. :-\

My mate had a Triumph Toledo. I think it was a 1300, but maybe 1100.  :-\

It leaked oil from the rocker cover and when we took it off we found someone had made a gasket with tin foil.  ;D

I expect it was so knackered that it felt like an 1100!  ;D
