They always say it was cramped onboard ..... there is loads of leg room & more than enough headroom in the centre isle.

So 50 years ago we had a passenger plane that could travel at twice the speed of sound. And now we don't. :-\

How is that progress? :-\

Not been on one for about 40 years, but it doesn't take too long to get your bearings around the various controls.

Concorde is a product of it's time so the fuel management computer was the flight engineer who looked after the panel on the right :y

Modern aircraft have all the same information but it's presented on screens rather than 100s of dials.

Progress apparently  ;D

:y

Everything used to stop at Heathrow when the lunchtime JFK took off. Occasionally had one pop in to Gatwick for certification purposes and there was always a queue to get anywhere near it.

I've been on both of the British prototypes, Duxford and Yeovil but as a child. Most of ours are dotted around the world, all looking stunning. It's almost embarrassing how tatty our one at Heathrow is... Only gets washed by the rain :-[

Must have a nosey around one again, especially with a working perspective  :-\
