Another year's MOT on the big daft lump
« on: 10 May 2026, 09:41:41 »

... always nice to get a fresh ticket on the ex plod.

Noted that the epoxy chassis paint is flaking significantly which proves that it is as fussy for temperature/ moisture/ etc as people claimed. That's a job for next year I think, strip it all back and redo it with normal chassis paint.

I didn't even do 900 miles last year so I'm going to try to use him a bit more...

Next is to get the bodywork tidied up as I'm going to try to get over my fear of people and take the car to Cops and Cars in August. Definitely going to surround the car with claymores and honey badgers to keep children away. Sticky fingers. Generally disgusting. Urgh.

Great news on the MOT, and keep that that rust and rust prevention under control, these cars to rust quick once it sets in.

As for sticky fingers etc, my trick is never to wash it, and it gives a good protective layer of dust, dirt and grime..... ;D
