My understanding is Jaguar will only sell them to the Alphabet community…….
Hmm yes, the controversial Alphabet community TV advert proves that the old saying “All publicity is good publicity” is untrue, as this publicity was disastrous.

As for the Jaguar Type01, the looks will always be a personal preference, and judging by some car manufacturers weird designs, shows that some people will still buy a car that we consider to be pig ugly.

I’d consider the pinnacle of modern Jaguars design to be the F Type, they pretty much nailed it with that.

The Type01 certainly has a striking presence on the road, in an almost vulgar manner, but then again, I felt like that regarding the new Land Rover Defender and that’s growing on me.

It’s the inside where I feel it’s all gone wrong, it must rank amongst the smallest (internally) large car. The audience will be limited, not only by the price but also by the height of the driver. The car appears very cramped internally and having watched several of the reviews, I notice that anyone around the six feet tall mark is getting seriously close to the roof lining.

What does surprise me though, is Jaguars choice to go almost fully touch screen, when other car manufacturers are going back to buttons due to NCAP knocking down the ratings for the lack of buttons for basic functions. They also appear to be fitting flush door handles, just as some countries are banning them, and several other countries are reviewing banning them, due to responders inability to get in, in the event of an accident.
Still, it will be the wealthy that will be buying this car as a statement, not the everyday Joe who spends his savings to buy one. Obviously JLR as a company make massive profits from the Land Rover/Range Rover models, so the company itself is safe as a whole, but I’m guessing that it could be make or break for the stand-alone Jaguar brand.
