Looks quite a tidy 2.6
« on: 15 October 2026, 12:59:24 »

Item number 206614181305 on eBay up to £1551 at the moment, haven't checked its MOT history because I'm not in the market for one but a nice ad & it looks good.

I can see Opti buying this to tuck away and sell at Mathewsons in a few years at a tidy profit

I think it's about time Lord Opti stopped buying milk floats and hairdresser's cars and bought something proper like!  :y   ;D

It’s very nice. But it’s the pig of a 2.6 engine, and only CD spec.

Whilst nothing serious, it’s also been presented for MOT many times and got lots of advisories, leading me to suspect the maintenance and care (and potentially mileage) isn’t what it’s cracked up to be.

£3000 or even £3500 even for a mint one maybe… but £4500?

Nah. Sorry

Also is there any mention in the ad about the front suspension advisories?

I appreciate it’s only my opinion, and another man’s rubbish is another’s treasure etc… but £4.5k is not realistic in my view

Registration number would put me straight off. Screams coconut.

Other listing is for a light bar which suggests the type of person the seller might be.

With the advisory bits done and the original registration and complete history it might be worth the asking price.

MF not registerd in my name, and M240i not 'effete' enough to be considered a 'hairdressers car.

Hairdressers cars include Mazda MX5,Triumph Spitfire, and XR3i Cabrio in white. ;D

Also this

£2800 for a 2.6 CD in star silver really does highlight the value in my new MV6  8)

Surely if you purchase a 23 year old vehicle a certain amount of expenditure would be expected, I think that they've purchased a good project for very little outlay nice to see one that hopefully will survive for many years, they are such a good looking car .

......and to think my last Omega, a 53 plate 2.6MV6, went for less than £800.

The Omega is starting to take on classic car status......like the Signum. ::)

Yeah, it will be worth £849 in no time >:D

The thing people don't appreciate with public market places such as eBay or Faceachebook is that you can see everything else they are selling.

The off brand light bar ties in with the ridiculous number plate and the Chinesium head unit that's fitted.

If I were in the market for an Omega I wouldn't even go and see that one.
