Perhaps I should have asked Mr Dusty to take the car in.
Perhaps it's £28 to a woman but much less to a man. :'( :-*

Yes Dusty that can certainly be the case, especially in my experience with those darn people Kwik Fitup, and you have to hold your ground making it clear you are taking no nonense.

First, just stay well clear of them as they are guaranteed to damage your car eventually, as I suspect they have done already with that sump bolt..........£28 indeed.........to put right what they have done wrong rather robbing, ineffecience, useless people!!

That's how they make their profits; do a simple job like an oil change then make sure you need an expensive repair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Argggggggggggggggggggggggggg >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Stop it Lizzie, I am ranting again about these people who have done so much damaged to our cars in the past!!!  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

No good for my health. ;)
They must have seen me coming Lizzie.....Trouble is, if I ask Mr Dusty to do it for me, he says that women can't do anything without the aid of men.

He may well post something about this in future knowing him. :-* :-*

What!............. :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

The women on this site will have to come round Dusty and show him how useless men are without women!! ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)
Do you think it would be a good idea to start up a "women only" Omega owners Forum Lizzie....show these men how to run a proper forum. ;D :-* :-*

Yes wonderful idea Dusty, but the poor souls would then feel quite lost not being able to show us women "how it is done", ie showing off, and "enjoying" the fantasies we create for them! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

You, me, Kate, Debs, Ljay and others give them the feminine company / mothering they really do need and enjoy along with holding their natural macho thoughts in check, and of course they enjoy the odd good cat fight that we create from time to time! :D :D ;)  That is good for their health. 8-) 8-) 8-) ;D ;D ;)

Steel hats time girls, run for the shelters, or at least I will ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

Dusty - Reasonable price for getting oil change. Assuming ShitFit did it properly.

Tunnie - oil around £12 and filter around £4 on TC

Not when you buy a box of 20!
Yes it is.  TC price is a shade under £4 + VAT for this filter.  Not that you would know seeing as you never bought one, and nicked my spare ;D

I have a box of 20 of them in the garage (down to around 12 now)... I am sure i only paid £20 something for the box  :-/
I'll bet a left gonad that you didn't buy 20 GM cartridge type filters for around £20. Never in a month of Sundays.  TC price is around £4 + VAT each, so at best, 20 will be £60-£70...

...and added to that, seeing as you only have 1 car that takes cartridge type filters, you wouldn't buy that many anyway.

I would have remembered paying £60 for a load of filters  :o

I remember buying 4 for 3 on oil and a box of 20 filters... the bill was £50 something!

Some 2.5s take spin-ons/canisters.  But Dusty's 2.6 will definately take paper element/cartridge type.

Hence my left gonad remains in tact....

I like to see what the kids at QF are doing (damge) to my fine car.
The oil filter was small and not a large cannister like I have seen on other cars I have owned.
Looking from the front it was on the right hand side of the engine. (I know you know but I had not seen before.)
I must admit that at QF you get this feeling that the young people there are learning on the job......on my car. :-* :-* :-*

Yup, small cylinder of paper.  Paper element fiilters were standard from around 1999 on v6 Omegas.

I'm actually impressed- well, no, wrong word - that they took the sump plug out and didn't just suck the oil out through the dipstick hole.

Anyway, what about naked engine oil wrestling? :-*

Clean, used or, for the really dirty, tractor. :o
