rather TV fault reoccured after Newent, as it seems to after lack of use, so rang them up, said they had repaired it twice, and had replaced the 2 parts that can cause the fault according to their repair agents, and I'd be looking for a replacement set.
They said that sounded reasonable, but they would have to get report from repair agents, which takes 5 days. They will call me back.
As it is being a right bitch today, thought I would chase it up. No report has been requested, but if I wanted it fixed, I need to post them a copy of the receipt as they think the warranty may be up (its not yet). When I explained I didn't what it fixed, but replaced, I had to speak to some dozy bint in escalations, who absolutely stonewalled me with "we will keep repairing the set whilst its in warranty, we will not replace."
TV was bought on 15th October, so if the next repair does not fix it, chances are it will be out of warranty, what happens then? "The TV will be out of warranty, but we can arrange a service engineer to look at it sir, and can then quote a repair cost".
I find this unacceptable.
Trouble is the tosspots I bought it from, Beyond Television, say that all warranty issues are to do with Samsung, so if Samsung want to repair again, thats the route I have to take, and Samsung say if I want replacement set, thats down to retailer.
