Serves me right for boasting
« on: 17 December 2006, 17:23:54 »

After my recent post praising the reliabilty of my daily driver Astra cdx,I started it this morning and a couple of seconds later the airbag light came on and stayed on!
With an impending MOT,is this a fail? Anyone any ideas on the most common cause of this problem? :(

Yes, its a failure :(

Tech2 to read what the ecu thinks is/was wrong. Omega/Veccy airbag lights can only be reset with tech2, I suspect Astra is no different.

Usual cause is the wiring/connectors under front seats....

Thanks for the info,Mr TheBoy,I'll let my local mechanic fix it. He has Tech 2 and is very reasonable on price- e.g. £30 for a diagnostic check.I think I'll get it MOT'd at the same time before something else goes wrong! ::) :)
