You guys must be very naughty drivers.
« on: 13 October 2008, 21:18:07 »

I don't often brim my tank, but I did tonight and afterwards the trip computer range said 547 miles!  :o ;D

OK, so I had been driving around with a flashing low fuel light all day and took it a little easier than usual.  ::)

Still, without being particularly kind I got over 400 miles out of the last tankful.  :y

At 102.9/L and pre-Y-reg taxes who needs a new car!?  :-?

First time i saw the fuel light flash was this Sat. I NEVER let them get this low as a rule but without enough to get to Tesco filled up @ the cheapest local, £107.9, £74!
I usually fill up when they drop below half a tank. ::)

:)  I drive mine from brimmed to fresh air and a prayer regularly.  Only run out once (but that was with a Volvo, which seemed to run on empty with the light flashing for about 80 miles - I tried 81).

I frequently have my MID down to range=single figures.  Tend to get nervous when it hits zero ::)

Tend to struggle getting 350 out of MV6, and currently 450 from tractor, but hopefully later is resolved now.

But then, I'm not renown for being economical.....

This instance was'nt down to me, but with running the engine after some work she got a bit low. I never run any car in the red, it's no good for them.

Hasn't bothered mine.  I have changed the fuel filter though just to be safe.  Driven it many times on 0.

Guessed that when you mentioned getting 4000/6000 from a set of boots in a tractor.  ;D ;D ;D

I never keep more in the tank than I reasonably need, less fuel less weight. If some one decides to pilfer it less to loose.

That'd be every day if I used it for work, and it's only about a 45/50 mile daily commute.  ;)
