How to fit prefacelift cruise control
« on: 17 December 2006, 17:08:59 »

Peeps

I have posted a couple of threads as above in the test section for fitting cruise control to a prefacelift.  Your contructive comments would be appreciated.

Looking, where possible, for a couple of part numbers so if anyone can name and list, I will add and ammend so that it can be sorted.

Top guide pal, well done and thanks a lot! My cc 'kit' should be here anytime (hopefully before Christmas stops the post) and it's gonna make a whole lot more sense now!

Cheers  :y

Can anyone assist with the various parts numbers so that I can finish this off?  I do not have access to TIS or similar.

Looking for:

2 pin brake switch
4 pin brake switch
clutch switch
auxiliary circulation pump mounting rubber

and any others that you have available, such as the cruise actuators, in particular colour/wiring differences between diesel/petrol/fly by wire and their part numbers.

thanks

Admins - Ready for a move?  I have amended and added where required, and put in the last of the pics.  Only needing part numbers to complete.    :y

I have some part numbers.

Might be worth adding that the coolant motor mount on the end of the rad fits nicely.

I have a few part numbers, will dig them out if I get chance tonight.

Thanks Mark.

Coolant motor/radiator?  Unsure of what you mean.  Feel free to add or change where you feel the need t.

Can both threads be combined into one or do they stay as two parts?

Keep them as one, can be combined I supect as long as the word limit is not exceeded

If you look at the passenger end of the radiator, there is an electric coolant pump in a rubber mount.

This rubber mount can be used to fit the aux coolant pump in your pic to the cruise module and they are easier (and cheaper) to obtain than a new item plus you get the fixings (clips) at the same time. Worth considering grabbing when you are obtaining the rest of the cruise gubbins.
